We went for a car ride this morning. There were no tantrums with the car seat! Sarah did have a mini meltdown when daddy took the goldfish crackers away from her as we were getting ready to leave. Her mouth was full of crackers and she started to howl. She wanted to finish them off!
Drove to Kohls to return some shirts and shorts that I got for Sarah. Guessed wrong on the sizes - too small! Also wanted to look at a couple of things for Father’s Day and Tim’s birthday. Both kids were good in the store to start, but got antsy the longer we were there. Jenna started to run in circles and Sarah was quick to imitate her. Got a couple of smiles from other people shopping when they saw the 2 girls.
Abandoned the idea of going to another store. Had initially thought about going to Walmart, too, but decided not to push our luck with the kids. Got home in time to prepare an early lunch.
Put the kids
Tim gave them both a bath. First time they were in the tub together. They had a blast playing with all of the tub toys! Thought we’d save time and just put them in their pajamas even though it was only 5:00 p.m. Jenna decided she wanted to blow dry her hair for the first time. She’s getting to be an independent girl (sometimes).
Ate leftovers tonight. Several families from our church have been generous about preparing us meals for supper. We’re very grateful for everyone’s help as we slowly transition back to “normal”.
Everyone is tired tonight. It’s a combination of jet lag and the weather. We’re hoping to get a good night’s sleep without an early morning wake up call from the kids.
Sounds like things are getting better. What Size are the girls wearing now?
