Our Last Full Day in China!!

Wed. 6/10/09

Today we started packing our suitcases. Wow, I don’t remember buying all this stuff. After an hour or so of shuffling things around we had to go and finalize Sarah’s Visa at the U.S. Consulate office. The area around the U.S. Consulate has some very modern looking buildings with new skyscraper construction. There was a lot of security. No cameras, no water, no cell phones, etc. After a few signatures and a swearing in ceremony, we were finished. The last hurdle is to go through Immigration at the Chicago Airport Immigration office. Then Sarah will be a U.S. citizen. Our group met for our last supper at La Dolce Vita (Italian restaurant). It’s comforting to have pizza and pasta after all the Chinese food. We thought it would be easy on our stomachs before leaving for home. We look forward to seeing everyone when we get back to the Minnesota!
